Phil grew up in Rotorua, lived and worked in the Waikato for 16 years before returning to Rotorua to give his children the lifestyle he had growing up. He first started plumbing and gas fitting back in 2004. He gained his certifying qualifications in 2010/11, and later went on to establish VIP Plumbing Limited in mid 2012. VIP’s reputation and success is built on providing value, innovative and professional plumbing, gas fitting and drain laying services.

Continuing to train and attend supplier workshops, Phil and the team are committed to keeping up to date with product technologies. Together they have over 23 years of experience in the maintenance field too. This allows them to attend any job and provide a range of cost effective and efficient plumbing solutions.

Having spent the last 14 years working along side other trades. Phil has a great network of builders, electricians, engineers, real estate agents, vinyl layers and the likes, that he can recommend and liaise with, to help you manage your project on time and on budget.

Director / Plumbing, Drainage & Gas Fitting Technician

Phil, an active relaxer, thrives on hard work. His favourite part of his job are renovations. He enjoys the process of creating new functional spaces out of the old and weary. Completely renovating his own 1950's bungalow into a modern retro space hasn't put him off. He has his eyes set on a Villa next - if he can get his head out of a car bonnet that is!

Jae

Administration / Director

Jae is a part timer at VIP, lending a hand on big jobs . She's a gun at running new PVC spouting and helps keep the vans looking their best. When Jae's not working for VIP; she's teaching at a local primary school or trying to keep up to date with the washing that a husband, two sons and a daughter make.

Ryan

Plumbing, Drainage & Gas Fitting Technician

Ryan, also known as Skippy, crossed the ditch for us... with over 8 years of plumbing experience. He is well trained in roofing and drainage. He spends a lot of time kayak fishing and mountain biking for fun, when he's not hanging out with his young son. Skippy loves a good chat and never says no to a good cuppa and biscuits.

Paul

Plumbing, Drainage & Gas Fitting Technician

Paul has a whopping 48 years of plumbing experience under his belt, he is full of knowledge and information! Crawling underneath a house isn't his ideal way of spending his day anymore, so now he mostly looks after all our quoting needs, but does get out on the tools at times when more hands are needed. He loves a good cuppa, or two, or three and is mad about golf!

Cohen

Plumbing, Drainage & Gas Fitting Technician

Cohen is in his 4th year of his apprenticeship & has great enthusiasm to get stuck in and do what ever is thrown his way. When he isn't at work, he is out on the water with a fishing rod in hand or hitting the outback roads & spinning up sand in his 4 wheel drive, to a destination remote and far away from civilisation.

Jono

Plumbing, Drainage & Gas Fitting Technician

Jono is VIPs youngest member, who is a true kiwi fisherman. No need for a fish finder, just a scoop of water to taste is how he works out where to fish! He and Cohen are like two peas in a pod, and the team wouldn't be complete without him.

Lawrence

Plumbing & Drain Laying Technician

Lawrence has a deep love for all things outdoors... From biking, to fishing, too hunting, too surfing. He is a fully qualified Plumber & Drain Technician and sure does know his stuff, he loves problem solving and is pretty good at it too!
